Echo & Ember
I’m Isabella — an artist, maker, and lifelong lover of history when it comes alive.
Since 2004, my friends and I have been sewing and recreating the clothing of past eras — from the grand courts of Henry VIII with my group Fire Adventures, to the sweeping lines of Victorian gowns. Every stitch feels like a bridge between centuries.
Archery keeps my focus steady; the rapier — though I’m a little rusty these days — reminds me that grace and precision never really fade. Martial arts once taught me how movement becomes art, and I still carry that lesson in the rhythm of a needle or a camera shutter.
I love building things with my hands: weaving, embroidery, photography, and even a bit of ghost hunting — chasing those quiet mysteries that linger in forgotten places.
I used to play in the SCA, where history first felt alive enough to touch, to wear, to breathe in. That spark has never dimmed; it’s just changed shape over time.
Echo & Ember is where all of that comes together — the crafts, the costumes, the adventures, and the stories that remind us the past still has a heartbeat
